Client: Private Equity Secondaries firm
Create a fully automated application that assists in the preparation and tracking of LP notices for a secondaries fund
Implement SSO login across the whole application to restrict/grant access to certain end users based on their department or designation
Created an interactable UI application on Retool, a low-code service, for scalability and ease of use
Developed an automated pipeline for generating the PDF associated with the notice in the required format using latex markup language
Integrated a top top-to-down review system, giving the ability to reviewers to approve/reject the prepared notices, along with their comments
Automation led to a 90% reduction in time to create and send notices to investors
Gathered historical and point-in-time data from multiple in-house cashflow models, accounting systems, and public databases into a central GCP repository
Custom APIs are built and hosted in a protected server environment to allow seamless access
Based on the input fund selected in the app, these APIs are leveraged to fetch entries from the central repository and to calculate the total distribution/capital call amount available, along with its LP split
Tools/Technology used: Python, Fast API, BigQuery, Google Cloud Server, Retool UI
